USA: GM cultivation at 60 million hectares
In 2008, GM crops were cultivated in the US on almost 60 million hectares. This represents a growth of ten per cent in comparison to 2007, as can be read in the cultivation statistics published on 30 June by the US-American Department of Agriculture.
