Function: The toxins protects the plant from the Lepidopteran insects, fall armyworm (Spodoptera sp.), black cutworm (Agrotis ipsilon), european corn borer(Ostrinia nubilalis) and the corn earworm (Helicoverpa zea).

Methods for the genetic modification: Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated gene transfer.
