AgriculturePlums are grown worldwide in regions with a warm-moderate climate, but mainly in Asia and Europe. In 2005, almost half of the world's harvest of around 9.8 tons came from China. After China, the main EU producers are Serbia-Montenegro and Germany. Cultivation of plum is also important in Romania, the USA, France and Chile.
